Business Referrals
As a member, your brochures or business cards are displayed in the Chamber of Commerce Tourist and Business Information Office on Simcoe St. (Tourist Booth) and our members are referred when consumers, business people and tourists are looking for information.

Business Directory
As a member you will be listed in the Beaverton District Chamber of Commerce Directory that is published in March. Your business is listed for free and the Chamber of Commerce will send the directory out upon request.

Group Insurance
You have the opportunity to participate in group health and life insurance packages that are available for small businesses at rates normally reserved for large firms; providing a direct cost-saving measure for your business.

Certificates of Origin
Companies that export are able to have Certificates of Origin certified at the Chamber of Commerce at no charge.

Events

    Recognizing the importance of local events and community spirit, the Chamber of Commerce is responsible for the following events:
  • Since 1999 the Chamber has organized the Farmers' Market behind the Townhall.
  • Also since1999 the Chamber is responsible for the Karaoke Contest, held the second weekend of August, which is a great success and growing from year to year.
  • The Chamber is responsible for the Tourist Booth, which is open for the summer months.
  • In 2000 the Chamber had it's first float in the Santa Claus parade.
  • In an effort to promote community pride, the Chamber is pleased to announce the launch of it's "Community Pride Award". This award will be presented to businesses and/or residential properties.
  • The Chamber of Commerce is proud to host the "All Candidates Meetings" before elections.
  • Annual Golf Tournament in September

Newsletter
The Chamber newsletter is sent out twice a year. We welcome our new members with a short profile of their business which provides direct contact with the other businesses. The newsletter also keep you up-to-date on the activities of the Chamber of Commerce.

www.beavertononlakesimcoe.com is the website of the Beaverton District Chamber of Commerce. This site was designed with the tourist in mind and to promote our local businesses. As a new member you can put your business card on our website for 3 months for free.

The Chamber of Commerce has organized "wine & cheese" meetings, at different businesses, to give the business the opportunity to introduce themselves to the community and for other businesses to meet your fellow Chamber members in a casual atmosphere.

Discount Programs
As a member of the Chamber you are entitled to the discounts provided through the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.

TD Canada Trust VISA offers all Chamber members a Preferred VISA Merchant Package which includes paper discount deposit rate of 2.5%, electronic discount deposit rate of 1.8% and Interact rate of $ 0.12 per transaction.

National Bank Mastercard offers Chamber members Preferred Mastercard Merchant Package which includes paper discount deposit rate of 2.25% and electronic discount deposit rate 1.6% and debit card transactions are $.15 plus .06 per visa transaction

Affiliations
The Beaverton District Chamber of Commerce is a member of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce and also a member of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. This affiliation allows our members to access VISA and Mastercard Discount Deposit rates.
